Shine’s
Journey: The Disappearance of Red Clan

The
wind was blowing so gently and the bird was tweeting so happily greeting the
sun which appeared shyly from the back of the hill. Slowly the sun was shining
brightly toward a lake which glistened like a sparkling
mirror. It was really a perfect morning in a hidden village called Rainbow
Village.
“A new day has come!” said a girl while
running out from her small cottage. She was holding her paintbrush on her right
hand and a blue color box on her left hand.
“Hi,
Shine! Good morning!” she stopped her foot as she heard someone was greeting
her. Then, she turned her body to see who just greeted her.
“Hi,
Julio! Good morning!” she smiled while approaching him.
“Where
are you going, Shine? You really look very excited today,” asked Julio.
“Yeah,
I’m really looking forward for today, this is
the first day I become the rainbow maker to represent my Blue Clan,” answered
Shine delightfully.
Julio
frowned.
“You
have not heard about the news, Shine? You know, we can not make a rainbow
today!”
“What?
You must be kidding me right, Julio?” Shine looked at Julio curiously.
“Trust me! I’m not kidding, Shine. Last night
I heard the people from my Green Clan were talking about the disappearance of
all members of the Red Clan,” said Julio in a very low voice.
“It
can’t be true! Stop lying, Julio! It isn’t funny at all!” Shine shouted at
Julio.
“You
don’t believe me, Shine? Alright then, it’s up to you! I just want to tell you
the truth!”
Julio
left Shine who stood up while her mouth was half opening. She really couldn’t
believe what she just heard. Then she decided to find out what was happening in
Rainbow Village by going to see Master Oldrain the chief of Rainbow Village.

“Julio
must be kidding me, he must be kidding me!” Shine mumbled while walking
hurriedly to the Rain Lake, the place where Master Oldrain was. After she
arrived at the lake, Master Oldrain was sitting on the stone staring at the
lake.
“Master
Oldrain!” Master Oldrain turned his gaze from the lake to Shine.
“Hello
Shine, it has been a long time since your last time coming here!” said Master
Oldrain.
“Master Oldrain, actually I come to ask you
about something,” said Shine sitting next to Master Oldrain.
“Alright
then, what are you going to ask me, Shine?” asked Master Oldrain.
“Master
Oldrain, is it true that all the members of Red Clan disappeared last night?”
asked Shine carefully to Master Oldrain.
“Hmmm,
so that news has spread out, unfortunately that is true, Shine,” said Master
Oldrain calmly.
After
hearing the answer from Master Oldrain, Shine felt a little uneasy and
disappointed because why something like this happened in her first day as a
representative from her Blue Clan to be a rainbow maker. Suddenly, there were
some people who came from Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Purple Clans
said to Master Oldrain that all the people who lived in Rainbow Village had
gathered in the center of Rainbow Village.
Then, Master Oldrain along with Shine and the
other people from each clan went to the center of Rainbow village. When Master
Oldrain was announcing that all the members of the Red Clan disappeared last
night, Shine looked at Julio who was standing in his Green Clan. Then she tried
to call him, but when Julio looked back at Shine, he hurriedly turned his gaze
to the other direction.
“Ssshhh,
Julio is really mad at me,” Shine murmured while bowing her head.
“Shine!
Shine O’Blue! Shine O’Blue, Master Oldrain called your name to come forward!”
everyone from the Blue Clan was calling Shine who didn’t pay attention when
Master Oldrain speaking.
“What?”
said Shine loudly, until made everyone from each clan including Julio looked at
her.
“Shine,
can you come forward, please!” said Master Oldrain.
“Oh...y…yes master!” replied Shine while
coming forward.
“For
everyone, whom I called, please come forward!” continued Master Oldrain.
“Cloud
from the Orange Clan, Sky from the Yellow Clan, Julio from the Green Clan,
Venus from the Indigo Clan, and the last Lily from the Purple clan.”
After
calling the representative from each Clan, Master Oldrain told that they had a
mission to find and save the Red Clan in Mysterious Forest.
“B…but,
Master Oldrain, the Mysterious Forest is very dangerous,” the representative
from the Orange, Yellow, and Indigo Clan said simultaneously.
“Alright
then, if that is the matter, the three of you can not continue this mission,
you can go back to your clan,” said Master Oldrain.
Then
Master Oldrain turned his gaze toward Shine, Julio, and Lily.
“Shine,
Julio, and Lily, will you continue this mission?”
“Yes,
I will Master Oldrain!” said Shine and Lily enthusiastically.
“How
about you, Julio?” Master Oldrain asked Julio.
“Yes,
I will Master!” answered Julio while nodding his head.
“Alright
then, if the three of you decide to continue this mission, you can start your
journey now, I hope the three of you and the all members of the Red Clan can
back safely to the village,” said Master Oldrain.
Then
the three of them began their journey to the Mysterious Forest. And everyone
from each clan was giving them spirit and praying for them.

“Since
we do this journey in one team, we had better choose one of us to be a leader
during this Journey. Who want to be a leader here?” asked Julio.
“Me,
I want to be a leader!” both of Shine and Lily was rising their hand at the
same time, Julio just looked at them confusingly.
“I’m
sorry Shine, but I think I will be a better leader than you!” said Lily sarcastically.
“How
can you say such things? I’m not saying that I am better than you, but I will
never let myself to be led by a person like you!” replied Shine, while
accelerating her step.
“What
do you mean by a person like me?” Lily yelled at Shine.
“Shhhh,
stop it! We just begin our journey, how can both of you act like that?” Julio
who got annoyed with both of them shouted. But, Shine and Lily just continued
walking and did not pay attention to Julio.
Along
the way, they did not say anything to each other, until the atmosphere become
scarier than before. They began to enter the dark side of the forest which was
very dense of trees. The atmosphere of the forest was dark, foggy and cold. Even,
any kinds of animals sound could be heard clearly. Shine, Julio, and Lily could
feel that every side of the forest was noticing intensively on every step they
took.
“Starting
now, we have to be more careful!” Julio uttered.
Right
after Julio finished his words, suddenly,
Craaaaackkkkkk.
“Aaaaaaaarghhhhhh!”
The
three of them was slipped into a hole. And in that hole, they were sliding in a
spiral glider until finally they landed in the tender roots. The three of them
was very shocked with what just happened.
“Let’s
continue our journey, from now on I will be the leader here!” said Lily, while
trying to stand up again.
“Hold
on Lily, how can we continue our journey if we don’t know the clue, where the
Red Clan is. I think we had better determine the strategy first,” said Shine.
And
Julio suddenly stood up and said,
“I
just remember, I have ever read the story book of our village. It says that in
our village there was a clan, named Black Clan and because they thought that
the other clans was not considered that they existed, they decided to move to
the Mysterious Forest, and their headquarter is in the base of Mysterious Forest.”
“So,
what is the relationship between that story and the disappearance of The Red Clan?”
Lily crossed her arms in her chest.
“I
see, I think the reason why the Red Clan disappeared is because they were
kidnapped by the Black Clan, because they want to take a revenge for being not
considered by the other clans in Rainbow Village, and as we know that when we
make a rainbow there is no black color in rainbow, right?”
“Yeah,
you are right, Shine!” said Julio.
“Alright,
if that the case, I think we have already near the area of the Black Clan is!
Shall we go now?” asked Lily.
“Yes,
let’s move!” replied Shine and Julio.
Then
they continued their journey in the Mysterious Forest. As they walked deeper to
the base of the forest, finally they found the Black Clan headquarters and they
also found the Red Clan. Then they hid behind a large tree to look the
situation and they saw all of the members of Black clan were wearing mask and
wearing black robe. After looking at the situation, Julio, Lily and Shine planned
a strategy to save the Red Clan. The strategy was, Julio and Lily would help
the Red Clan and Shine would distract the attention of Black Clan members.

“Hey,
catch me if you can!” said Shine while appearing in front of the Black Clan
members.
Looking
the presence of Shine, the Black Clan member
tried to catch Shine. Then Shine ran as fast as she could to escape from the
Black Clan members. At the same time, Julio and Lily approached the Red Clan
and saved them. After that they tried to release the rope that bound the hands
of the Red Clan members. But, unfortunately they get caught up by the members
of the Black Clan who went back to their headquarters.
After
that, Lily and Julio were bounded by the rope, and all the members who tried to
catch Shine came back to their headquarters because they failed to seize Shine.
Then the chief of the Black Clan shouted.
“Hey
you, look at this, now your friend is under arrest. If you don’t give up and
don’t let us to catch you we will definitely kill both of your friends now!”
Shine
who hid on the top of a big tree had no choice, except saved her friends’ life.
Then she appeared in front of the Black Clan’s chief.
“I
beg you, please let them go!” said Shine started to cry. Looking at Shine,
Julio and Lily also started to shed tears.
“Alright,
I will let them go, but with one condition, you should choose your friends or
all the members of Red Clan!” said the chief of Black Clan.
“What?
How can I do that?” Shine widen her eyes, felt so confuse about what she should
do.
“Okay,
I will give you 10 seconds to decide about that! One...two...three…” the chief
of the Black Clan began to countdown.
“Four…five…six...seven…eight…nine…ten…
Shine, the time is up you has to decide your choice! If you still don’t say
anything I will kill them in front of you now!”
“No,
I have decided that, I…I…decide that you can just kill me and let my friends
and the Red Clan go!”
“No….you
can’t do that, Shine!” Suddenly Julio shouted. “Just kill me instead!”
Shine
started to cry again after hearing Julio said that.
“Wow,
it is really interesting! Both of you want to sacrifice your life to help your
friends and your clan!” the chief of Black Clan uttered. “But, I’d rather kill
you Shine than you, Julio!”
Then
the chief of Black Clan appeared to Shine while taking out his sword, Shine
just could bow her head while kneeling to the ground. Looking at this
situation, Julio tried to release himself from the rope that bounded his body.
“No,
stay away from, Shine! Shine…run...run!” Julio shouted over and over again.
But, the chief of Black Clan now was standing in front Shine and starting to
swing his sword. Shine just closed her eyes.
Craaaaaaaang…
The
sword was falling down to the ground. And the chief of the Black Clan put off
his mask and said. “You did a great job, Shine, Julio, Lily!”
After
that, all the members of the Black Clan put off their mask and they clapped to
Shine, Julio and Lily. They were actually the members of all the clans from
Rainbow Village.
“So
you are master Oldrain?” Shine was really shock after knowing that the chief of
Black Clan was Master Oldrain.
“Yes,
I’m master Oldrain, this is actually our plan to know the ability of new
representative from each clan” answered Master Oldrain.
“What?”
Shine, Lily and Julio were really speechless about what they should say.

The
next day…
“Julio, let’s go! This is our time to make a
rainbow, because the rain just stopped. Let’s go hurry up!” said Shine while
taking Julio’s hand and holding it tightly. At that time Julio’s face was
turned into red.
“What’s
wrong, Julio? Why is your face become red?” asked Shine curiously.
“Never
mind, it’s nothing, let’s go make a rainbow and make the world beautiful”
answered Julio while smiling at Shine.
