I
closed my eyes and slowly opened the box. Then, the memory of four years ago
came back onto my mind when that person gave this gift to me. I took a deep
breath and realized that I still remembered the moment when she dropped me off
at Narita Airport and handed me this red box.
----Flash
Back----
“Megumi,
thank you for dropping me off here,” I said while giving her a warm smile. She
smiled back at me and began to write something on her sketch book. After that,
she showed me what was written on her sketch book.
-Yes,
Never Mind J-
I
gave two thumbs up for her and asked,
“You
know, sometimes I think it’s kinda weird when I see you communicate by using
sketch book,”
After
she heard what I said, she pouted and wrote on her sketch book.
-As
you know, I’m mute, I can’t speak, and that’s why I use this sketch book to
communicate with the other people. Why do you think it’s weird?-
As
I finished reading what was written on her sketch book, I grinned.
“Fine,
it isn’t weird, I just curious why don’t you communicate by using sign language
instead, I think it will be more practical than using sketch book.”
She
began to write again on her sketch book and showed her sketch book again to me,
-I
think it will be more troublesome because not all the people understand sign
language-
Before
I replied her response, she turned the next page of her sketch book,
-Can
we stop this topic? The plane will depart soon, right?-
“Alright
then, you’re right, I have to leave now,”
I
smiled while holding her hands tightly. But, five seconds later, she released
her hands from my grip and wrote on her sketch book. After she finished write,
she showed me again her sketch book.
-See
you in four years J-
I
nodded, and when I was about to leave, she grabbed my hand and stared at me.
Then, I frowned when she took a quite big red box out of her bag and handed it
to me.
